College Factual was founded, in part, to help students make the decision as to what would be the best school for them. Our “Most Veteran Friendly in the Southeast Region for Math” ranking is part of that endeavor.

Mathematics is the 35th most popular major in the country with 30,202 degrees awarded in 2020-2021. In 2019-2020, mathematics graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $45,168 and had an average of $21,863 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Southeast region, there were 4,455 mathematics graduates with average earnings and debt of $42,923 and $22,097 respectively.

For this year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Southeast Region for Math” ranking, we looked at 53 colleges that offer a degree in mathematics. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great mathematics programs and a strong support system for veterans and active service members.

When determining these rankings, we looked at things such as overall quality of the mathematics program at the school, veteran affordability, and veteran satisfaction. Check out our ranking methodology for more information.
