Our “Most Veteran Friendly in the Southwest Region for Math” ranking is part of that endeavor.
Mathematics is the 35th most popular major in the country with 30,202 degrees awarded in 2020-2021. In 2019-2020, mathematics graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $45,168 and had an average of $21,863 in loans still to pay off.
Across the Southwest region, there were 2,847 mathematics graduates with average earnings and debt of $44,848 and $20,751 respectively.
This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Southwest Region for Math” ranking looked at 23 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in mathematics. This ranking identifies schools with high-quality mathematics programs as well as strong veteran support.
