Heating, Air Conditioning, Ventilation & Refrigeration is the 192nd most popular major in the country with 19,594 degrees awarded in 2020-2021. In 2019-2020, heating, air conditioning, ventilation and refrigeration graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $32,998 and had an average of $11,353 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Plains States region, there were 1,030 heating, air conditioning, ventilation and refrigeration graduates with average earnings and debt of $40,579 and $14,790 respectively.

This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Plains States Region for HVACR” ranking looked at 18 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in heating, air conditioning, ventilation and refrigeration. This ranking identifies schools with high-quality heating, air conditioning, ventilation and refrigeration programs as well as strong veteran support.

To come up with these rankings, we looked at factors such as veteran satisfaction, veteran affordability, and overall quality of the heating, air conditioning, ventilation and refrigeration program at the school. Check out our ranking methodology for more information.
