Top 2 Best Value Colleges for Data Science in the Southwest Region
You’ll join some of the best and brightest minds around if you attend Texas Tech University. The school came in at #1 for the Best Value Data Science Schools in the Southwest Region. This large school is located in Lubbock, Texas, and it awarded 66 ’s data science degrees in 2020-2021.
Texas Tech also took the #1 spot in our “Best Data Science Schools in the Southwest Region” ranking. The yearly cost to attend Texas Tech is $16,194 for southwest region data science students.
The undergrad student loan default rate at the school is 4.5%, which is quite low when compared to the national default rate of 10.1%. With a freshman retention rate of 85%, the school does an excellent job of retaining its undergraduate students.

Located in Houston, Texas, this fairly large public school handed out 24 diplomas to qualified ’s data science students in 2020-2021.
