Chemistry is the 51st most popular major in the country with 21,239 degrees awarded in 2020-2021. In 2019-2020, chemistry graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $40,656 and had an average of $22,680 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Rocky Mountains region, there were 689 chemistry graduates with average earnings and debt of $40,582 and $22,924 respectively.

This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Rocky Mountains Region for Chemistry” ranking looked at 13 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in chemistry. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent chemistry programs, but they also offer a lot of support to veterans and active service members.

To come up with these rankings, we looked at factors such as veteran satisfaction, veteran affordability, and overall quality of the chemistry program at the school. Check out our ranking methodology for more information.

CU - Boulder did well in our major quality rankings, too. UW is a fairly large public school situated in Laramie, Wyoming. It awarded 20 ’s chemistry degrees in 2020-2021.

In addition to being on our rocky mountains region vets studying chemistry list, UW has also earned the #[COLLEGE_QUALITY_RANK_ALL_LEVELS] rank in our “[COLLEGE_QUALITY_NAME_ALL_LEVELS]” ranking.According to our most recent data, University of Wyoming supports 11,829 students, and 473 of those are GI Bill® students, of which 255 are Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. Bozeman, Montana is the setting for this fairly large institution of higher learning. The public school handed out ’s chemistry degrees to 48 students in 2020-2021.

U of I did well in our major quality rankings, too.
