With 113,121 degrees handed out in 2020-2021, criminal justice and corrections is the 7th most popular major in the United States. In 2019-2020, criminal justice and corrections graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $35,465 and had an average of $25,425 in loans still to pay off.

Across the New England region, there were 6,459 criminal justice and corrections graduates with average earnings and debt of $41,105 and $23,948 respectively.

This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the New England Region for Criminal Justice” ranking analyzed 65 colleges that offered a degree in criminal justice and corrections. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent criminal justice and corrections programs, but they also offer a lot of support to veterans and active service members.

To come up with these rankings, we looked at factors such as veteran satisfaction, veteran affordability, and overall quality of the criminal justice and corrections program at the school. See our ranking methodology to learn more.
