Geography & Cartography is the 107th most popular major in the country with 8,936 degrees awarded in 2019-2020. In 2017-2018, geography and cartography graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $36,126 and had an average of $23,577 in loans still to pay off.

At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 4,655 geography and cartography graduates with average earnings and debt of $38,303 and $24,501 respectively.

This year’s “Best Value Geography Schools for a Bachelor’s” ranking looked at 243 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in geography and cartography. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent geography and cartography programs, but they also cost less that schools of similar quality.
