It’s not easy to decide which college to attend when there so many options available for students. College Factual has developed its “Best Value Air Transport Schools for a Bachelor’s” ranking as one item you can use to help make this decision.

In 2019-2020, 8,490 people earned their degree in air transportation, making the major the 99th most popular in the United States. In 2017-2018, air transportation graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $41,937 and had an average of $23,295 in loans still to pay off.

At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 4,848 air transportation graduates with average earnings and debt of $38,303 and $24,501 respectively.

This year’s “Best Value Air Transport Schools for a Bachelor’s” ranking looked at 55 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in air transportation. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great air transportation programs and cost less that schools of similar quality.

Out of the 55 schools in the Best Value Air Transport Schools for a Bachelor’s that were part of this year’s ranking, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University - Worldwide landed the #1 spot on the list. Daytona Beach, Florida is the setting for this fairly large institution of higher learning. The private not-for-profit school handed out bachelors’s air transport degrees to 945 students in 2019-2020.

Embry-Riddle Worldwide did well in our major quality rankings, too. It placed #2 on our “Best Air Transportation Bachelor’s Degree Schools” list. The yearly cost to attend Embry-Riddle Worldwide is $20,333 for bachelor’s degree air transport students.

Grand Forks, North Dakota

Out of the 55 schools in the Best Value Air Transport Schools for a Bachelor’s that were part of this year’s ranking, University of North Dakota landed the #3 spot on the list. This fairly large school is located in Grand Forks, North Dakota, and it awarded 196 bachelors’s air transport degrees in 2019-2020.

UND also took the #4 spot in our “Best Air Transportation Bachelor’s Degree Schools” ranking. It costs about $15,738 for Bachelor’s Degree Air Transport students per year to attend UND.
