In 2020-2021, 9,984 people earned their degree in air transportation, making the major the 91st most popular in the United States. In 2019-2020, air transportation graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $46,821 and had an average of $21,674 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Southeast region, there were 5,086 air transportation graduates with average earnings and debt of $51,938 and $21,659 respectively.

For this year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Southeast Region for Air Transport” ranking, we looked at 10 colleges that offer a degree in air transportation. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent air transportation programs, but they also offer a lot of support to veterans and active service members.

Embry-Riddle Worldwide is a fairly large school located in Daytona Beach, Florida that handed out 1,863 ’s air transport degrees in 2020-2021.

Embry-Riddle Worldwide did well in our major quality rankings, too. You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University - Daytona Beach. It ranked #2 on our 2023 Most Veteran Friendly in the Southeast Region for Air Transport list. Located in Daytona Beach, Florida, this medium-sized private not-for-profit school awarded 648 diplomas to qualified ’s air transport students in 2020-2021.

Liberty University is a large school located in Lynchburg, Virginia that handed out 389 ’s air transport degrees in 2020-2021.

In addition to being on our southeast region vets studying air transport list, Everglades U has also earned the #[COLLEGE_QUALITY_RANK_ALL_LEVELS] rank in our “[COLLEGE_QUALITY_NAME_ALL_LEVELS]” ranking.Of the 2,247 students enrolled at Everglades U, 60 were GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data.
