Design & Applied Arts is the 36th most popular major in the country with 36,301 degrees awarded in 2020-2021. In 2019-2020, design and applied arts graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $31,426 and had an average of $25,481 in loans still to pay off.

Across Connecticut, there were 262 design and applied arts graduates with average earnings and debt of $33,540 and $25,900 respectively.

You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend Yale University. It ranked #1 on our 2023 Most Veteran Friendly in Connecticut for Design list. New Haven, Connecticut is the setting for this fairly large institution of higher learning. The private not-for-profit school handed out ’s design degrees to 13 students in 2020-2021.

Yale also made our “[COLLEGE_QUALITY_NAME_ALL_LEVELS]” list, coming in at #[COLLEGE_QUALITY_RANK_ALL_LEVELS].Our most recent data shows that 1 of the 12,060 students enrolled at Yale University were GI Bill® students, of which 1 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average Post-9/11 GI Bill® award for tuition and fees at the school was $12,238. On top of their other funding sources, 0 students qualified for the Yellow Ribbon Program.

The low undergrad student loan default rate of [DEFAULT_RATE_STRING]% is a good sign that students have an easier time paying off their loans than they might at other schools. For comparison, the national default rate is 10.1%. University of New Haven is a private not-for-profit institution located in West Haven, Connecticut. The school has a medium-sized population, and it awarded 9 ’s degrees in 2020-2021.

University of New Haven did well in our major quality rankings, too. Located in West Hartford, Connecticut, this medium-sized private not-for-profit school handed out 42 diplomas to qualified ’s design students in 2020-2021.
