Design & Applied Arts is the 36th most popular major in the country with 36,301 degrees awarded in 2020-2021. In 2019-2020, design and applied arts graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $31,426 and had an average of $25,481 in loans still to pay off.

Across Georgia, there were 2,046 design and applied arts graduates with average earnings and debt of $32,584 and $26,752 respectively.

For this year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in Georgia for Design” ranking, we looked at 10 colleges that offer a degree in design and applied arts. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great design and applied arts programs and a strong support system for veterans and active service members.

To come up with these rankings, we looked at factors such as veteran satisfaction, veteran affordability, and overall quality of the design and applied arts program at the school. Check out our ranking methodology for more information.

Out of the 10 schools in the Most Veteran Friendly in Georgia for Design that were part of this year’s ranking, Georgia Institute of Technology - Main Campus landed the #1 spot on the list. Atlanta, Georgia is the setting for this large institution of higher learning. The public school handed out ’s design degrees to 73 students in 2020-2021.

In addition to being on our georgia vets studying design list, Georgia Tech has also earned the #[COLLEGE_QUALITY_RANK_ALL_LEVELS] rank in our “[COLLEGE_QUALITY_NAME_ALL_LEVELS]” ranking.Our most recent data shows that 430 of the 39,771 students enrolled at Georgia Institute of Technology - Main Campus were GI Bill® students, of which 240 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. Savannah College of Art and Design came in at #8 in this year’s edition of the Most Veteran Friendly in Georgia for Design ranking. SCAD is a private not-for-profit institution located in Savannah, Georgia. The school has a fairly large population, and it awarded 1,069 ’s degrees in 2020-2021.

As a testament to the quality of education offered at SCAD, the school also landed the #[COLLEGE_QUALITY_RANK_ALL_LEVELS] spot in our “[COLLEGE_QUALITY_NAME_ALL_LEVELS]” ranking.According to our most recent data, Savannah College of Art and Design supports 14,265 students, and 193 of those are GI Bill® students, of which 135 are Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients.
