For this year’s “Best Value General Music Schools in the Southeast Region” ranking, we looked at 87 colleges that offer a degree in general music. This ranking identifies schools with high-quality general music programs that also have a lower cost than schools of similar quality.

Located in Tallahassee, Florida, this large public school handed out 53 degrees to qualified ’s general music students in 2020-2021.
Florida State not only placed well in this ranking. It is also #5 on our “Best General Music Schools in the Southeast Region” list. The estimated yearly cost for Florida State University is $9,946 for Southeast Region General Music students.
