Veterans have lots of options to chooose from today when trying to decide which college to attend. Our “Most Veteran Friendly in Arizona for Visual & Performing Arts” ranking is one tool we have developed to help in this regard.
In 2020-2021, 149,215 visual and performing arts students received their degree, making the major the 10th most popular in the country. In 2019-2020, visual and performing arts graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $26,700 and had an average of $25,051 in loans still to pay off.
Across Arizona, there were 7,364 visual and performing arts graduates with average earnings and debt of $27,745 and $22,550 respectively.
This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in Arizona for Visual & Performing Arts” ranking looked at 7 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in visual and performing arts. This ranking identifies schools with high-quality visual and performing arts programs as well as strong veteran support.
To come up with these rankings, we looked at factors such as veteran satisfaction, veteran affordability, and overall quality of the visual and performing arts program at the school. See our ranking methodology to learn more.
The following schools top our list of the Best “Most Veteran Friendly in Arizona for Visual & Performing Arts”.
Out of the 7 schools in the Most Veteran Friendly in Arizona for Visual & Performing Arts that were part of this year’s ranking, Arizona State University - Tempe landed the #1 spot on the list. ASU - Tempe is a large school located in Tempe, Arizona that handed out 803 ’s visual and performing arts degrees in 2020-2021.
ASU - Tempe also took the #[COLLEGE_QUALITY_RANK_ALL_LEVELS] spot in our “[COLLEGE_QUALITY_NAME_ALL_LEVELS]” ranking.Our most recent data shows that 7,566 of the 74,795 students enrolled at ASU - Tempe were GI Bill® students, of which 3,828 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average tuition and fees award for the Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients was $6,068. During this same period, 672 students qualified for the Yellow Ribbon Program. The low undergrad student loan default rate of [DEFAULT_RATE_STRING]% is a good sign that students have an easier time paying off their loans than they might at other schools. For comparison, the national default rate is 10.1%. Students who start out at the school are likely to stick around. The freshman retention rate is 86%.

You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend University of Arizona. It ranked #2 on our 2023 Most Veteran Friendly in Arizona for Visual & Performing Arts list. Tucson, Arizona is the setting for this large institution of higher learning. The public school handed out ’s visual and performing arts degrees to 339 students in 2020-2021.
University of Arizona did well in our major quality rankings, too. Located in Flagstaff, Arizona, this large public school awarded 197 diplomas to qualified ’s visual and performing arts students in 2020-2021.

University of Advancing Technology is a small school located in Tempe, Arizona that handed out 39 ’s visual and performing arts degrees in 2020-2021.
