Out of the 6 schools in Illinois that were part of this year’s ranking, University of Chicago landed the #2 spot on the list. This fairly large private not-for-profit school is located in Chicago, Illinois, and it awarded 2,163 bachelor’s degrees in 2020-2021.

Of the total number of students at the school, 26.6% are international. The top three countries sending students to study at UChicago are China, India, and South Korea.

With a freshman retention rate of 100%, the school does an excellent job of retaining its students.

Illinois Tech is a private not-for-profit institution located in Chicago, Illinois. The school has a medium-sized population, and it awarded 620 bachelor’s degrees in 2020-2021.
