What You’ll Find in Our Veterans Report on CSM:
A sizable veteran community on campus is often a sign that a school knows how to support students with a military background. Per VA data, there are 561 GI Bill® students at CSM. As the school’s total enrollment is 4,422, roughly 12.7% of the students are using the GI Bill® to help pay for their education. By comparison, the Student Veterans of America reports that three to four percent of college students nationwide are veterans.
This number includes all chapters of the GI Bill®, such as Post-9/11, the Montgomery GI Bill®, the Reserve Education Assistance Program, and Veteran Readiness and Employment. Active-duty service members attending via Tuition Assistance are not counted, so the overall military population could be higher. Veteran students account for 0.9% of those enrolled at CSM, based on College Scorecard data.
Graduation and retention rates can tell you how well a school supports its veteran students through to a degree.
| Outcome | Veterans | All Students |
