Colleges with a large veteran population are better equipped to support and accommodate those who have had military experience. Based on VA records, there are 474 GI Bill® students at DMACC. With a total enrollment of 10,406, roughly 4.6% of students are using the GI Bill® to help pay for their education. **Des Moines Area Community College does have a student veterans group.**The school has a dedicated point of contact for veteran and military students. Veteran services.
DMACC may consider your military experience and award college credit. Talk with your admissions counselor to learn more. Earning credit for what you already know can save you time and money toward a degree. Check with DMACC about credit for life experience, CLEP and similar exams, or other prior learning beyond military training.
Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) programs are not available at DMACC.
