How Many Veterans Go to TKU?

Colleges with a large veteran population are better equipped to support and accommodate those who have had military experience. The VA reports that there are 36 GI Bill® students at TKU. With a total enrollment of 272, approximately 13.2% of the student body is using the GI Bill® to help pay for their education. As a benchmark, the Student Veterans of America puts the share of veteran college students nationwide at three to four percent.

This number includes all chapters of the GI Bill®, such as Post-9/11, the Montgomery GI Bill®, the Reserve Education Assistance Program, and Veteran Readiness and Employment. Active-duty military using Tuition Assistance are excluded, so the actual military population may be bigger.

Check with TKU about credit for life experience, CLEP and similar exams, or other prior learning beyond military training.

TKU Reserve Officer Training Corps

Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) programs are not available at TKU.
