Rhode Island School of Design was not ranked on the <nil> [Best Schools for Veterans list[(/rankings/veterans). This could be due to a number of reasons, including insufficent data.
An increased number of veterans enrolling at a particular school means that college faculty are more adept at accommodating and supporting those with previous military experience.
According to the VA, there are 16 GI Bill® students at RISD. There are 2,227 students enrolled at RISD. This means that approximately 0.72% use the GI Bill® to help pay for tuition, fees, and other expenses. To put that into perspective, about three to four percent of college students in the U.S. are veterans according to the Student Veterans of America.
Note, this figure includes all chapters of the GI Bill® program (e.g., Post-9/11, Montgomery GI Bill®, Reserve Education Assistance Program, and Veteran Readiness and Employment).
