When many veterans attend a school, its faculty and staff tend to be more experienced at meeting the needs of former service members. Per VA data, there are 96 GI Bill® students at STU. Given that enrollment at the school is 1,963, around 4.9% of the student body is using the GI Bill® to help pay for their education. As a benchmark, the Student Veterans of America puts the share of veteran college students nationwide at three to four percent.

STU may consider your military experience and award college credit. Ask the admissions office how this applies to you. Credit for prior learning can shorten your time to a degree, so it’s worth asking about. Check with STU about credit for life experience, CLEP and similar exams, or other prior learning beyond military training.
STU does not offer Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) programs.
