With a total enrollment of 20,033, about 5.5% of students are using the GI Bill® to help pay for their education. This number includes all chapters of the GI Bill®, such as Post-9/11, the Montgomery GI Bill®, the Reserve Education Assistance Program, and Veteran Readiness and Employment. Active-duty service members attending via Tuition Assistance are not counted, so the overall military population could be higher. Veterans make up 0.5% of all students at SFSU, according to U.S. Department of Education figures.
