Our Veterans Report on SCC:
An increased number of veterans enrolling at a particular school means that college faculty are more adept at accommodating and supporting those with previous military experience. Per VA data, there are 454 GI Bill® students at SCC. Given that enrollment at the school is 2,375, around 19.1% of the student body is using the GI Bill® to help pay for their education. To put that into context, the Student Veterans of America estimates that roughly three to four percent of all U.S. college students are veterans.

SCC may recognize specialized military training toward college credit. Ask the admissions office how this applies to you. Credit for prior learning can shorten your time to a degree, so it’s worth asking about. Beyond military training, ask SCC whether it awards credit for life or work experience, CLEP exams, or other prior learning.
SCC does not offer Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) programs.
