A large number of veterans attending a college means the college and faculty are more used to supporting and accommodating the needs of those with prior military experience. VA figures show 33 GI Bill® students at Tufts. Since the total enrollment at the school is 6,804, roughly 48.5% of those enrolled are using the GI Bill® to help pay for their education. As a benchmark, the Student Veterans of America puts the share of veteran college students nationwide at three to four percent.

At this time, Tufts does not grant credit for military training. Earning credit for what you already know can save you time and money toward a degree. Beyond military training, ask Tufts whether it awards credit for life or work experience, CLEP exams, or other prior learning.
