In 2020-2021, 8,098 people earned their degree in agricultural economics and business, making the major the 101st most popular in the United States. In 2019-2020, agricultural economics and business graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $42,304 and had an average of $18,874 in loans still to pay off.
Across the Southwest region, there were 1,364 agricultural economics and business graduates with average earnings and debt of $41,798 and $19,938 respectively.
This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Southwest Region for Agricultural Business” ranking analyzed 15 colleges that offered a degree in agricultural economics and business. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent agricultural economics and business programs, but they also offer a lot of support to veterans and active service members.

Oklahoma State University - Main Campus is located in Stillwater, Oklahoma and, has a large student population. In 2020-2021, this school awarded 191 ’s agricultural business degrees to qualified students.
