2022 Best Value Associate Degree Colleges for Animal Science

In 2019-2020, 8,086 people earned their degree in animal science, making the major the 96th most popular in the United States. In 2017-2018, animal science graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $28,818 and had an average of $20,002 in loans still to pay off.
At the associate degree level specifically, there were 333 animal science graduates with average earnings and debt of $33,082 and $17,678 respectively.
This year’s “Best Value Animal Science Schools for an Associate” ranking analyzed 12 colleges that offered a degree in animal science. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent animal science programs, but they also cost less that schools of similar quality.

You’ll join some of the best and brightest minds around if you attend Brigham Young University - Idaho. The school came in at #2 for the Best Value Animal Science Schools for an Associate. BYU - I is a large private not-for-profit school situated in Rexburg, Idaho. It awarded 5 associates’s animal science degrees in 2019-2020.

Out of the 12 schools in the Best Value Animal Science Schools for an Associate that were part of this year’s ranking, Northcentral Technical College landed the #3 spot on the list. Wausau, Wisconsin is the setting for this medium-sized institution of higher learning. The public school handed out associates’s animal science degrees to 12 students in 2019-2020.
North Central Technical College also took the #10 spot in our “Best Animal Science Associate Degree Schools” ranking. It costs about $10,131 for Associate Degree Animal Science students per year to attend North Central Technical College.
You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend Ohio State University Agricultural Technical Institute. It ranked #4 on our 2022 Best Value Animal Science Schools for an Associate list. This small school is located in Wooster, Ohio, and it awarded 38 associates’s animal science degrees in 2019-2020.
As a testament to the quality of education offered at Ohio State University Agricultural Technical Institute, the school also landed the #1 spot in our “Best Animal Science Associate Degree Schools” ranking. College of Western Idaho ranked #8 on this year’s Best Value Animal Science Schools for an Associate list. Located in Nampa, Idaho, this fairly large public school awarded 7 degrees to qualified associates’s animal science students in 2019-2020.

Wayne Community College came in at #9 in this year’s edition of the Best Value Animal Science Schools for an Associate ranking. Located in Goldsboro, North Carolina, this small public school handed out 3 diplomas to qualified associates’s animal science students in 2019-2020.
Wayne Community College also took the #11 spot in our “Best Animal Science Associate Degree Schools” ranking. It costs about $2,315 for associate degree animal science students per year to attend Wayne Community College.

University of New Hampshire - Main Campus did quite well in the 2022 Best Value Animal Science Schools for an Associate ranking, coming in at #10. UNH is located in Durham, New Hampshire and, has a fairly large student population. In 2019-2020, this school awarded 11 associates’s animal science degrees to qualified students.
