The #1 spot in this year's ranking belongs to University of Missouri - Columbia. Located in the city of Columbia, Mizzou is a public college with a fairly large student population. Mizzou not only placed well in our veterans rankings. It is also #1 on our Best Colleges for Animal Science in Missouri list.
According to our most recent data, Mizzou supports 29,843 students, and 635 of those are GI Bill® students, of which 394 are Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average tuition and fees award for these recipients was $8,075. During this same period, 14 students received scholarships through the Yellow Ribbon Program. Northwest Missouri State University landed the #2 spot in our 2021 rankings for best value animal science schools. Located in the town of Maryville, Northwest is a public school with a medium-sized student population. Northwest did well in our major quality rankings, too. It placed #2 on our Best Colleges for Animal Science in Missouri list.
Among the 6,857 students enrolled at Northwest, 160 are GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data. Out of that number, 70 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. Located in the midsize city of Springfield, Missouri State is a public school with a fairly large student population. According to our most recent data, Missouri State supports 23,697 students, and 720 of those are GI Bill® students, of which 378 are Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients.
