The #1 spot in this year's ranking belongs to University of Missouri - Columbia. Located in the city of Columbia, Mizzou is a public college with a fairly large student population. Mizzou not only placed well in our veterans rankings. It is also #1 on our Best Colleges for Animal Science in Missouri list.

According to our most recent data, Mizzou supports 29,843 students, and 635 of those are GI Bill® students, of which 394 are Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average tuition and fees award for these recipients was $8,075. During this same period, 14 students received scholarships through the Yellow Ribbon Program. Students may be able to receive credit for their military training, depending on their background.

Northwest Missouri State University landed the #2 spot in our 2021 rankings for best value animal science schools. Located in the town of Maryville, Northwest is a public school with a medium-sized student population. Northwest did well in our major quality rankings, too. It placed #2 on our Best Colleges for Animal Science in Missouri list.

Among the 6,857 students enrolled at Northwest, 160 are GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data. Out of that number, 70 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. Located in the midsize city of Springfield, Missouri State is a public school with a fairly large student population.
