For this year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Southwest Region for Agriculture” ranking, we looked at 12 colleges that offer a degree in agriculture. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent agriculture programs, but they also offer a lot of support to veterans and active service members.

To come up with these rankings, we looked at factors such as veteran satisfaction, veteran affordability, and overall quality of the agriculture program at the school. See our ranking methodology to learn more.

You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend Texas A&M University - College Station. It ranked #1 on our 2023 Most Veteran Friendly in the Southwest Region for Agriculture list. This large school is located in College Station, Texas, and it awarded 23 ’s agriculture degrees in 2020-2021.

Texas State is a large school located in San Marcos, Texas that handed out 38 ’s agriculture degrees in 2020-2021.

Nacogdoches, Texas is the setting for this fairly large institution of higher learning. The public school handed out ’s agriculture degrees to 32 students in 2020-2021.
