In 2020-2021, 3,370 people earned their degree in agriculture, making the major the 202nd most popular in the United States.

For this year’s “Best Value Agriculture Schools” ranking, we looked at 63 colleges that offer a degree in agriculture. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great agriculture programs and cost less that schools of similar quality.

When determining these rankings, we looked at things such as overall quality of the agriculture program at the school and the cost to attend the school once aid has been awarded. Check out our ranking methodology for more information.

You’ll join some of the best and brightest minds around if you attend University of Nebraska - Lincoln. The school came in at #3 for the Best Value Agriculture Schools. UNL is located in Lincoln, Nebraska and, has a large student population. In 2020-2021, this school awarded 36 ’s agriculture degrees to qualified students.
