2022 Best Value Biotech Schools for a Bachelor’s
When pursuing a degree in today’s world, students have many different options to choose from. College Factual was founded, in part, to help students make the decision as to what would be the best school for them. Our “Best Value Biotech Schools for a Bachelor’s” ranking is part of that endeavor.
In 2019-2020, 3,585 people earned their degree in biotechnology, making the major the 171st most popular in the United States. In 2017-2018, biotechnology graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $50,092 and had an average of $32,815 in loans still to pay off.
At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 975 biotechnology graduates with average earnings and debt of $38,303 and $24,501 respectively.
This year’s “Best Value Biotech Schools for a Bachelor’s” ranking looked at 60 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in biotechnology. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent biotechnology programs, but they also cost less that schools of similar quality.
Some of the factors we look at when determining these rankings are overall quality of the biotechnology program at the school and the cost of the school after aid is awarded among other things. For more information, check out our ranking methodology.
