Located in the city of Denver, DU is a private not-for-profit college with a fairly large student population. DU also took the #1 spot in our Best Colleges for Finance & Financial Management in the Rocky Mountains Region rankings.
About 0.7% of DU students default on their loans in three years, which is lower than average. 3,512 students at DU are exclusively online. There are roughly 5,249 part time students in attendance at DU.

University of Utah earned the #2 spot in our 2021 rankings. Located in the city of Salt Lake City, U of U is a public college with a very large student population. U of U not only placed well in our non-traditional rankings. It is also #3 on our Best Colleges for Finance & Financial Management in the Rocky Mountains Region list.
The school has a low student loan default rate of 0.8%. Approximately 19,378 students take at least one class online at U of U. About 7,185 of the students at U of U are attending part time.
