In 2020-2021, 28,787 people earned their degree in human resource management, making the major the 45th most popular in the United States. In 2019-2020, human resource management graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $49,057 and had an average of $31,139 in loans still to pay off.

Across the New England region, there were 1,459 human resource management graduates with average earnings and debt of $63,064 and $31,193 respectively. At the master’s degree level specifically, there were 837 human resource management graduates with average earnings and debt of $61,899 and $0 respectively.

This year’s “Most Well Attended HR Major in the New England Region for a Master’s” ranking looked at 29 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in human resource management. To top this list, a school must have a successful human resource management program that graduates more students in the field than other colleges that offer the same major.
