When pursuing a degree in today’s world, veterans have many different options to choose from. College Factual has developed its “Most Veteran Friendly in the Southwest Region for Real Estate” ranking as one item you can use to help make this decision.
In 2020-2021, 6,547 people earned their degree in real estate, making the major the 155th most popular in the United States. In 2019-2020, real estate graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $60,568 and had an average of $21,484 in loans still to pay off.
Across the Southwest region, there were 934 real estate graduates with average earnings and debt of $54,664 and $19,534 respectively.
This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Southwest Region for Real Estate” ranking analyzed 12 colleges that offered a degree in real estate. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent real estate programs, but they also offer a lot of support to veterans and active service members.
To come up with these rankings, we looked at factors such as veteran satisfaction, veteran affordability, and overall quality of the real estate program at the school. See our ranking methodology to learn more.

Located in College Station, Texas, this large public school awarded 58 diplomas to qualified ’s real estate students in 2020-2021.
Texas A&M College Station did well in our major quality rankings, too. Located in Fort Worth, Texas, this fairly large private not-for-profit school handed out 57 degrees to qualified ’s real estate students in 2020-2021.
As a testament to the quality of education offered at TCU, the school also landed the #[COLLEGE_QUALITY_RANK_ALL_LEVELS] spot in our “[COLLEGE_QUALITY_NAME_ALL_LEVELS]” ranking.Our most recent data shows that 520 of the 11,379 students enrolled at Texas Christian University were GI Bill® students, of which 405 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. Southern Methodist University is a private not-for-profit institution located in Dallas, Texas. The school has a fairly large population, and it awarded 39 ’s degrees in 2020-2021.
