2022 Best Value Journalism Schools for an Associate

In 2019-2020, 14,528 people earned their degree in journalism, making the major the 62nd most popular in the United States. In 2017-2018, journalism graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $31,042 and had an average of $24,628 in loans still to pay off.
At the associate degree level specifically, there were 725 journalism graduates with average earnings and debt of $33,082 and $17,678 respectively.
This year’s “Best Value Journalism Schools for an Associate” ranking looked at 7 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in journalism. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great journalism programs and cost less that schools of similar quality.

Northampton County Area Community College is a medium-sized public school situated in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. It awarded 6 associates’s journalism degrees in 2019-2020.
Northampton Community College also made our “Best Journalism Associate Degree Schools” list, coming in at #4. It costs about $9,053 for Associate Degree Journalism students per year to attend Northampton Community College.
