2022 Best Value Master’s Degree Colleges for Publishing

Publishing is the 303rd most popular major in the country with 262 degrees awarded in 2019-2020. In 2017-2018, publishing graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $43,650 and had an average of $54,266 in loans still to pay off.
At the master’s degree level specifically, there were 185 publishing graduates with average earnings and debt of $56,398 and $43,194 respectively.
This year’s “Best Value Publishing Schools for a Master’s” ranking analyzed 8 colleges that offered a degree in publishing. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent publishing programs, but they also cost less that schools of similar quality.

Out of the 8 schools in the Best Value Publishing Schools for a Master’s that were part of this year’s ranking, Emerson College landed the #4 spot on the list. This medium-sized school is located in Boston, Massachusetts, and it awarded 44 masters’s publishing degrees in 2019-2020.
