This year’s “Best Value Informatics Schools” ranking analyzed 37 colleges that offered a degree in informatics. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great informatics programs and cost less that schools of similar quality.
When determining these rankings, we looked at things such as overall quality of the informatics program at the school and the cost to attend the school once aid has been awarded. Check out our ranking methodology for more information.

You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend Ivy Tech Community College. It ranked #1 on our 2023 Best Value Informatics Schools list. Located in Indianapolis, Indiana, this large public school awarded 151 degrees to qualified ’s informatics students in 2020-2021.

You’ll join some of the best and brightest minds around if you attend University of Wisconsin - Stout. The school came in at #2 for the Best Value Informatics Schools. This medium-sized school is located in Menomonie, Wisconsin, and it awarded 10 ’s informatics degrees in 2020-2021.

Out of the 37 schools in the Best Value Informatics Schools that were part of this year’s ranking, Liberty University landed the #3 spot on the list. Liberty University is located in Lynchburg, Virginia and, has a large student population. In 2020-2021, this school awarded 33 ’s informatics degrees to qualified students.

Omaha, Nebraska is the setting for this fairly large institution of higher learning. The public school handed out ’s informatics degrees to 10 students in 2020-2021.
UNOMAHA also took the #19 spot in our “Best Informatics Schools” ranking. It costs about $13,914 for informatics students per year to attend University of Nebraska at Omaha.
