Information Technology is the 42nd most popular major in the country with 40,555 degrees awarded in 2020-2021. In 2019-2020, information technology graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $46,525 and had an average of $26,794 in loans still to pay off.
Across the Rocky Mountains region, there were 3,606 information technology graduates with average earnings and debt of $50,266 and $30,344 respectively. At the associate degree level specifically, there were 185 information technology graduates with average earnings and debt of $36,822 and $20,997 respectively.

PPCC is located in Colorado Springs, Colorado and, has a fairly large student population. In 2020-2021, this school awarded 29 associates’s IT degrees to qualified students.

Out of the 15 schools in the Most Well Attended IT Major in the Rocky Mountains Region for an Associate that were part of this year’s ranking, Brigham Young University - Idaho landed the #3 spot on the list. Located in Rexburg, Idaho, this large private not-for-profit school awarded 25 degrees to qualified associates’s IT students in 2020-2021.
The low undergrad student loan default rate of 3.1% is a good sign that students have an easier time paying off their loans than they might at other schools. For comparison, the national default rate is 10.1%.

Out of the 15 schools in the Most Well Attended IT Major in the Rocky Mountains Region for an Associate that were part of this year’s ranking, Utah Valley University landed the #4 spot on the list. Utah Valley University is a large school located in Orem, Utah that handed out 14 associates’s IT degrees in 2020-2021.
The undergrad student loan default rate at the school is 4.4%, which is quite low when compared to the national default rate of 10.1%.

Cheyenne, Wyoming is the setting for this small institution of higher learning. The public school handed out associates’s IT degrees to 11 students in 2020-2021.
LDS Business College came in at #6 in this year’s edition of the Most Well Attended IT Major in the Rocky Mountains Region for an Associate ranking. LDS Business College is located in Salt Lake City, Utah and, has a small student population. In 2020-2021, this school awarded 11 associates’s IT degrees to qualified students.
Lewis - Clark State College ranked #8 on this year’s Most Well Attended IT Major in the Rocky Mountains Region for an Associate list. Lewiston, Idaho is the setting for this small institution of higher learning. The public school handed out associates’s IT degrees to 10 students in 2020-2021.
