In 2020-2021, 1,435 people earned their degree in construction, making the major the 284th most popular in the United States. In 2019-2020, construction graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $33,364 and had an average of $9,374 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Plains States region, there were 329 construction graduates with average earnings and debt of $25,349 and $8,250 respectively.

This year’s “Most Well Attended Construction Major in the Plains States Region” ranking analyzed 19 colleges that offered a degree in construction. To top this list, a school must have a successful construction program that graduates more students in the field than other colleges that offer the same major.
