Western Governors University tops the 2021 list of our schools in Utah that are best for non-traditional special education students. Located in the suburb of Salt Lake City, WGU is a private not-for-profit school with a very large student population.
The school has a low student loan default rate of 0.7%. All 150,116 students take classes exclusively online at WGU.
Utah State University comes in at #2 in this year's ranking. USU is a fairly large public school located in the small city of Logan. USU not only placed well in our non-traditional rankings. It is also #1 on our Best Colleges for Special Education in Utah list.
The school has a low student loan default rate of 0.8%. There are approximately 13,751 students at USU that take at least one class online. There are roughly 9,734 part time students in attendance at USU.
The #3 spot in this year's ranking belongs to Brigham Young University - Provo. BYU is a fairly large private not-for-profit school located in the city of Provo. BYU not only placed well in our non-traditional rankings. It is also #2 on our Best Colleges for Special Education in Utah list.
The school has a low student loan default rate of 0.4%. There are approximately 12,325 students at BYU that take at least one class online. 4,504 students are part time.
