This year’s “Best Value AE Tech Schools” ranking analyzed 28 colleges that offered a degree in architectural engineering technology/technician. This ranking identifies schools with high-quality architectural engineering technology/technician programs that also have a lower cost than schools of similar quality.

Ranken Technical College is a private not-for-profit institution located in Saint Louis, Missouri. The school has a small population, and it awarded 16 ’s degrees in 2020-2021.
Ranken Technical College also took the #2 spot in our “Best Architectural Engineering Technology Schools” ranking. The yearly cost to attend Ranken Technical College is $15,535 for AE Tech students.

Out of the 28 schools in the Best Value AE Tech Schools that were part of this year’s ranking, Purdue University - Main Campus landed the #5 spot on the list. Located in West Lafayette, Indiana, this large public school handed out 174 diplomas to qualified ’s AE tech students in 2020-2021.
Purdue also took the #1 spot in our “Best Architectural Engineering Technology Schools” ranking. It costs about $13,377 for AE Tech students per year to attend Purdue.
The undergrad student loan default rate at the school is 1.7%, which is quite low when compared to the national default rate of 10.1%. The school has an excellent freshman retention rate of 93%, which means students like the school well enough to return for a second year.

Southeast Technical College came in at #6 in this year’s edition of the Best Value AE Tech Schools ranking. Southeast Tech is a small school located in Sioux Falls, South Dakota that handed out 14 ’s AE tech degrees in 2020-2021.
As a testament to the quality of education offered at Southeast Tech, the school also landed the #10 spot in our “Best Architectural Engineering Technology Schools” ranking. It costs about $16,188 for AE Tech students per year to attend Southeast Tech.
