Architectural Engineering Technology is the 228th most popular major in the country with 1,336 degrees awarded in 2019-2020. In 2017-2018, architectural engineering technology graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $49,833 and had an average of $22,511 in loans still to pay off.
At the associate degree level specifically, there were 580 architectural engineering technology graduates with average earnings and debt of $33,082 and $17,678 respectively.
This year’s “Best Value AE Tech Schools for an Associate” ranking looked at 37 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in architectural engineering technology. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent architectural engineering technology programs, but they also cost less that schools of similar quality.

BYU - I also made our “Best Architectural Engineering Technology Associate Degree Schools” list, coming in at #7. The yearly cost to attend BYU - I is $7,167 for associate degree ae tech students.
The student loan default rate at the school is 3.2%, which is quite low when compared to the national default rate of 10.1%.
