In 2019-2020, drafting and design engineering technology graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $43,263 and had an average of $17,275 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Southwest region, there were 1,552 drafting and design engineering technology graduates with average earnings and debt of $37,742 and $12,963 respectively.

This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Southwest Region for Design Engineering Tech” ranking looked at 10 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in drafting and design engineering technology. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent drafting and design engineering technology programs, but they also offer a lot of support to veterans and active service members.
