Veterans have lots of options to chooose from today when trying to decide which college to attend. College Factual has developed its “Most Veteran Friendly for Engineering Design” ranking as one item you can use to help make this decision.

Engineering Design is the 991st most popular major in the country with 115 degrees awarded in 2020-2021.

For this year’s “Most Veteran Friendly for Engineering Design” ranking, we looked at 2 colleges that offer a degree in engineering design. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great engineering design programs and a strong support system for veterans and active service members.

When determining these rankings, we looked at things such as overall quality of the engineering design program at the school, veteran affordability, and veteran satisfaction. For more information, check out our ranking methodology.

Out of the 2 schools in the Most Veteran Friendly for Engineering Design that were part of this year’s ranking, Arizona State University - Tempe landed the #1 spot on the list. Located in Tempe, Arizona, this large public school handed out 13 diplomas to qualified ’s engineering design students in 2020-2021.

In addition to being on our vets studying engineering design list, ASU - Tempe has also earned the #[COLLEGE_QUALITY_RANK_ALL_LEVELS] rank in our “[COLLEGE_QUALITY_NAME_ALL_LEVELS]” ranking.According to our most recent data, Arizona State University - Tempe supports 74,795 students, and 7,566 of those are GI Bill® students, of which 3,828 are Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average Post-9/11 GI Bill® award for tuition and fees at the school was $6,068. On top of their other funding sources, 672 students received scholarships through the Yellow Ribbon Program. Eligible students may be able to receive credit for their military training.

Saint Cloud, Minnesota is the setting for this fairly large institution of higher learning. The public school handed out ’s engineering design degrees to 13 students in 2020-2021.

St. Cloud State University did well in our major quality rankings, too.
