Out of all the majors we analyze each year, engineering technologies was ranked #24 in the country. In fact 19,475 bachelor's degrees were handed out in 2018-2019. Of those degrees, 2,259 went to students in the Southwest region of the United States. The engineering tech school you choose to invest your time and money in matters. For this year's Highest Paid Engineering Technologies Graduates in the Southwest Region ranking, we looked at 19 colleges that offer a bachelor's in engineering tech.
The numbers used in this ranking are early career salaries, which we define to be 10 years after a student started college. This is the salary typically earned 4-6 years after graduation, but may be different depending on how long a person takes to complete their degree.
Comparing Average Salaries of Engineering Technologies Majors
After graduation, engineering technologies majors from schools in the Southwest Region earn an average salary of $53,969 per year. This means that graduates with bachelor's degrees in this field make 36% more than the average college graduate salary of $39,802.
This salary is in the same ballpark as the national average of $55,227 for those students who obtain a bachelor's degree in engineering tech.
