In 2020-2021, 85,188 people earned their degree in engineering technologies, making the major the 20th most popular in the United States. In 2019-2020, engineering technologies graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $52,350 and had an average of $21,560 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Southwest region, there were 10,969 engineering technologies graduates with average earnings and debt of $48,978 and $20,173 respectively. At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 2,503 engineering technologies graduates with average earnings and debt of $40,112 and $26,227 respectively.

This year’s “Most Well Attended Engineering Tech Major in the Southwest Region for a Bachelor’s” ranking looked at 46 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in engineering technologies. This ranking identifies schools that graduate the most students in engineering technologies.
