In 2020-2021, 85,188 people earned their degree in engineering technologies, making the major the 20th most popular in the United States. In 2019-2020, engineering technologies graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $52,350 and had an average of $21,560 in loans still to pay off.
Across Massachusetts, there were 913 engineering technologies graduates with average earnings and debt of $64,528 and $17,284 respectively.

Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent engineering technologies programs, but they also offer a lot of support to veterans and active service members.

Out of the 7 schools in the Most Veteran Friendly in Massachusetts for Engineering Tech that were part of this year’s ranking, University of Massachusetts - Lowell landed the #1 spot on the list. UMass Lowell is located in Lowell, Massachusetts and, has a fairly large student population. In 2020-2021, this school awarded 86 ’s engineering tech degrees to qualified students.

You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend Tufts University. It ranked #2 on our 2023 Most Veteran Friendly in Massachusetts for Engineering Tech list. Tufts is located in Medford, Massachusetts and, has a fairly large student population. In 2020-2021, this school awarded 100 ’s engineering tech degrees to qualified students.
Tufts did well in our major quality rankings, too. WIT is a small private not-for-profit school situated in Boston, Massachusetts. It awarded 34 ’s engineering tech degrees in 2020-2021.
As a testament to the quality of education offered at WIT, the school also landed the #[COLLEGE_QUALITY_RANK_ALL_LEVELS] spot in our “[COLLEGE_QUALITY_NAME_ALL_LEVELS]” ranking.Of the 4,389 students enrolled at Wentworth Institute of Technology, 136 were GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data. During this same period, 10 students received funds through the Yellow Ribbon Program. Students may be able to receive credit for their military training, depending on their background.
