Writing Studies is the 76th most popular major in the country with 13,036 degrees awarded in 2019-2020. In 2017-2018, writing studies graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $29,483 and had an average of $27,853 in loans still to pay off.
At the associate degree level specifically, there were 265 writing studies graduates with average earnings and debt of $33,082 and $17,678 respectively.

You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend Liberty University. It ranked #5 on our 2022 Best Value Writing Schools for an Associate list. Located in Lynchburg, Virginia, this large private not-for-profit school awarded 2 diplomas to qualified associates’s writing students in 2019-2020.

National University landed the #6 spot on the 2022 Best Value Writing Schools for an Associate ranking. Located in La Jolla, California, this fairly large private not-for-profit school handed out 2 diplomas to qualified associates’s writing students in 2019-2020.
National University not only placed well in this ranking. It is also #4 on our “Best Writing Studies Associate Degree Schools” list.
The student loan default rate at the school is 4.5%, which is quite low when compared to the national default rate of 10.1%.
Full Sail University came in at #7 in this year’s edition of the Best Value Writing Schools for an Associate ranking. Full Sail University is a private for-profit institution located in Winter Park, Florida. The school has a large population, and it awarded 41 associates’s degrees in 2019-2020.
