Writing Studies is the 81st most popular major in the country with 12,529 degrees awarded in 2020-2021. In 2019-2020, writing studies graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $32,208 and had an average of $24,626 in loans still to pay off.

Across Texas, there were 490 writing studies graduates with average earnings and debt of $37,591 and $22,363 respectively.

This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in Texas for Writing” ranking looked at 12 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in writing studies. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great writing studies programs and a strong support system for veterans and active service members.

In addition to being on our texas vets studying writing list, UH has also earned the #[COLLEGE_QUALITY_RANK_ALL_LEVELS] rank in our “[COLLEGE_QUALITY_NAME_ALL_LEVELS]” ranking.Of the 47,090 students enrolled at University of Houston, 1,382 were GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data. Out of that number, 730 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average Post-9/11 GI Bill® award for tuition and fees at the school was $8,264. Fort Worth, Texas is the setting for this fairly large institution of higher learning. The private not-for-profit school handed out ’s writing degrees to 23 students in 2020-2021.

TCU did well in our major quality rankings, too. It placed #[COLLEGE_QUALITY_RANK_ALL_LEVELS] on our “[COLLEGE_QUALITY_NAME_ALL_LEVELS]” list.Our most recent data shows that 520 of the 11,379 students enrolled at Texas Christian University were GI Bill® students, of which 405 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients.
