In 2020-2021, 2,724 people earned their degree in American Sign Language, making the major the 199th most popular in the United States. In 2019-2020, American Sign Language graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $32,250 and had an average of $24,208 in loans still to pay off.
Across the Great Lakes region, there were 432 American Sign Language graduates with average earnings and debt of $29,108 and $29,244 respectively. At the associate degree level specifically, there were 149 American Sign Language graduates with average earnings and debt of $36,077 and $19,490 respectively.
