Romance Languages is the 65th most popular major in the country with 15,009 degrees awarded in 2020-2021. In 2019-2020, romance languages graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $31,474 and had an average of $22,151 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Southwest region, there were 1,570 romance languages graduates with average earnings and debt of $32,736 and $19,783 respectively.

This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Southwest Region for Romance Languages” ranking analyzed 16 colleges that offered a degree in romance languages. This ranking identifies schools with high-quality romance languages programs as well as strong veteran support.

SMU also made our “[COLLEGE_QUALITY_NAME_ALL_LEVELS]” list, coming in at #[COLLEGE_QUALITY_RANK_ALL_LEVELS].Among the 12,373 students enrolled at Southern Methodist University, 327 are GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data.
