In 2019-2020, 81,167 people earned their degree in allied health professions, making the major the 15th most popular in the United States. In 2017-2018, allied health professions graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $49,676 and had an average of $30,684 in loans still to pay off.

At the master’s degree level specifically, there were 11,535 allied health professions graduates with average earnings and debt of $56,398 and $43,194 respectively.

This year’s “Best Value Allied Health Schools for a Master’s” ranking looked at 265 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in allied health professions. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great allied health professions programs and cost less that schools of similar quality.

Out of the 265 schools in the Best Value Allied Health Schools for a Master’s that were part of this year’s ranking, Harding University landed the #3 spot on the list. Searcy, Arkansas is the setting for this small institution of higher learning. The private not-for-profit school handed out masters’s allied health degrees to 36 students in 2019-2020.

Located in Lubbock, Texas, this medium-sized public school awarded 72 degrees to qualified masters’s allied health students in 2019-2020.

You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. It ranked #5 on our 2022 Best Value Allied Health Schools for a Master’s list.
