In 2020-2021, 6,105 people earned their degree in general health and wellness, making the major the 141st most popular in the United States.

Across the Southeast region, there were 530 general health and wellness graduates with average earnings and debt of $0 and $0 respectively.

For this year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Southeast Region for Health and Wellness” ranking, we looked at 23 colleges that offer a degree in general health and wellness. This ranking identifies schools with high-quality general health and wellness programs as well as strong veteran support.

To come up with these rankings, we looked at factors such as veteran satisfaction, veteran affordability, and overall quality of the general health and wellness program at the school. See our ranking methodology to learn more.

You’ll join some of the best and brightest minds around if you attend University of Alabama at Birmingham. The school came in at #1 for the Most Veteran Friendly in the Southeast Region for Health and Wellness. University of Alabama at Birmingham is located in Birmingham, Alabama and, has a large student population. In 2020-2021, this school awarded 43 ’s health and wellness degrees to qualified students.

UAB also made our “[COLLEGE_QUALITY_NAME_ALL_LEVELS]” list, coming in at #[COLLEGE_QUALITY_RANK_ALL_LEVELS].Among the 22,563 students enrolled at University of Alabama at Birmingham, 1,194 are GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data.
